An ensemble that includes prostitutes, student revolutionaries, factory workers, and others joins the lead characters.

My Best Musical

I introduce about my best musical.
I saw this musical first played by high school girl student.
It was at school festival.
The school in Japan is girls’ school, so they also act the male parts.
They are not professional, but the crop was so good!
Maybe they always practice and practice.
Next I will talk about "Les Misérables".

Elisabeth 4

These are parts of Death Dancers

Today I will introduce about my favorite part (role) in Elisabeth.
That is Death Dancers.
I don’t know about original Vienna version Elisabeth, so I don’t know whether there are the parts of Death Dancers in original Vienna version Elisabeth.
But in Japanese Elisabeth there are parts of Death Dancers.
Those are like limb of Death (tycoon).
Death Dancers don’t sing and acting but dance.
They appear when Elisabeth thinks about Death.

Elisabeth 3

Ich gehör nur mir”, “I belong to me” (English), “Watashi dakeni” (Japanese) is the most famous song in Elisabeth.
At a young age, Elisabeth (Sisi), grown up in a good environment, experiences her first encounter with Death, a dashing handsome young man, which launches a love-hate affair that will span her entire life.
Lucheni claims that once Franz Joseph, the Emperor of Austria, picks Elisabeth as his bride - for once opposing his domineering mother Sophie - he began a chain of events that eventually toppled the Habsburg empire.
Elisabeth herself very soon comes to regret her seemingly "fairy-tale marriage" as the biggest mistake of her life. She feels abandoned by her careless husband, psychologically abused by her possessive mother-in-law and is chronically depressed due to her loneliness.
This song describes her mind. I like this song very much!!

Elisabeth 2

Today I will talk about Elisabeth (musical) played by Takarazuka.
Takarazuka has 5 teams. (flower, moon, snow, star, cosmos), and it played 7 times.
In Takarazuka there are only women, and the leading character must be male part.
So, in Elisabeth Takarazuka ver. Not Elisabeth but Death is leading character.
The subject is the love between Elisabeth and Death.

Elisabeth 1

Elisabeth is a Viennese, German-language musical.
It was played by Takarazuka and TOHO Company in Japan.
Syuichiro Koike embellishes the story.
Elisabeth is the story about Queen Elisabeth in Austria.
She hated the chain that she was queen all her life, and she looked for freedom.
She struggle with snare of death (‘Death’ is a main character in this musical),and eventually she was assassinated by Luigi Lucheni (He is a mad anarchist and the narrator of the play )

Asako Tomada

Yesterday, I wrote about The Phantom of the Opera (Gekidan Shiki ver.)
And today, I will talk about Asako Tomada.
Asako Tomada is an actress of Gekidan Shiki.
She passed the singing test of Gekidan Shiki and joined the company.
She has very beautiful voice because she graduated the college of music.
She played many heroines.
To pass the audition of Gekidan Shiki is very difficult, but there are auditions every program.
I think she has good ability.

The Phantom of the Opera (the Japanese ver.)

The Phantom of the Opera is a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the French novel.
Maybe many people know this work because it is famous as musical, novel, and movie.

This is played by Gekidan Shiki (Shiki Musical Company).
Gekidan Shiki consists of many kinds of people.
There are 3 way to join Gekidan Shiki.
To take singing test, dancing test, or acting test
Therefore there are good singers, good dancers, and good actors in Gekidan Shiki.
In The Phantom of the Opera, beautiful songs are important keys to please audience, so many singers can perform this program.

Yuta and his strange Friends (Yuta to Fushigina Nakamatachi)

The Japanese name is ‘Yuta to fushigina nakamatachi’.
This program is played by Gekidan Shiki. (Shiki Company)
